The customer had just finalized a large accounting and financial management system implementation, interfaced with many operational solutions, including procurement. With the new solution in place, the municipality asked us to perform an analysis to identify potential benefits and propose a high-level realization plan.
Brief description of Akselera’s role, deliverables and results
Akselera was engaged to deliver the analysis in close cooperation with key personnel from the customer. During the process, we identified how accounting and financial management processes could be improved. We also designed a rough procure-to-pay process, and identified potential savings, both related to sourcing and transaction efficiency. The customer decided to initiate several improvement projects based on the benefit identification study.
