About the customer
The customer is a leading global company within the energy sector, delivering innovative solutions for power generation and sustainable energy infrastructure. With operations across multiple continents, the organization provides technology and services for both onshore and offshore energy production. The company is strongly committed to efficiency, safety, and sustainability, and continuously invests in digital solutions to strengthen its global operations.
Project scope
To harmonize business processes and enable a single, global operating model, the company launched an enterprise-wide ERP transformation program based on SAP S/4HANA. The objective was to establish a standardized ERP template that could be rolled out to local business units across regions.
The Norwegian entity was among the first to transition from an existing SAP ECC environment to the new S/4HANA-based template. The rollout covered finance, logistics, procurement, and service execution, integrating business processes across SAP ERP, SAP Ariba, and SAP Field Service Management platforms.
Akselera was selected to manage the Norwegian rollout and to provide local SAP key user competence and implementation support.
Akselera’s role, deliverables and results
Akselera acted as country rollout manager, with responsibility for coordinating and executing all local rollout activities. This included project governance, progress monitoring, and ensuring alignment between the global program and Norwegian business operations.
Our consultants contributed extensive expertise in SAP migration, localization, and business process management, ensuring that national regulatory and operational requirements were properly implemented within the global S/4HANA template. In addition, Akselera acted as key user representatives for service execution, supporting integration testing, training, and post go-live hypercare.
The project was completed successfully, delivering a unified ERP platform that improved data quality, increased process transparency, and strengthened collaboration across the organization’s global energy operations. The S/4HANA solution now provides a scalable foundation for continued digitalization and operational efficiency throughout the energy sector.
